In the city of Elche (Alicante), home to three UNESCO World Heritage sites, from July 14 to 19, the 4th Elite Academy Camp will take place. Designed for players aged 11 to 18, this event promises an unforgettable experience for true handball enthusiasts—both boys and girls are welcome.

Led by Top-Level Coaches and International Players, including several World Champions, who will help you grow as a handball player thanks to their vast experience and teaching skills. Choose between residential or day camp options. Training with official Rasán gear and staying at the 4-star Hotel Port****, featuring outstanding facilities perfect for any elite team training camp. Enjoy access to video rooms, meeting spaces, a swimming pool, and a buffet breakfast.

 

Participants will also enjoy alternative sports and recreational activities, such as beach handball, a visit to the UMH Sports Research Center, and sessions at Parres Surf, where you can try paddleboarding, windsurfing, surfing, kayaking, and more. It’s not about the sport—it’s about you and what you want to take from it. We provide everything you need to learn and enjoy; all you need to bring is your enthusiasm to participate.

TORRELLANO SPORTS HALL AND POOL

The Torrellano Sports Hall features a multi-sport court with synthetic flooring, flanked by two lateral stands with a capacity of approximately 500 spectators.

Facilities include:

  • 4 team locker rooms

  • 1 referee locker room

  • Public restrooms

  • Storage areas for equipment

Additionally, the sports complex has two swimming pools available for participants to enjoy during the camp.

ALTET SPORTS HALL AND POOL

The Altet Sports Hall offers a multi-sport court with synthetic flooring, accompanied by two lateral stands with a capacity of approximately 600 spectators.

Facilities include:

  • 2 team locker rooms

  • 1 referee locker room

  • Public restrooms

  • Storage area for equipment

The sports complex also features a swimming pool, which will be available for camp participants.

EL ALTET BEACH

The vast El Altet Beach, located between Urbanova and Arenales del Sol, is home to a unique dune ecosystem, making it a national benchmark due to the rarity of such habitats in Spain. Stretching two kilometers with fine white sand, the beach is awarded the Blue Flag for its exceptional quality and accessibility.

A standout player for the Spanish National Team, Gedeón's impressive achievements include: World Champion (2013), Bronze Medalist at the 2014 European Handball Championship, Silver Medalist at the 2016 European Handball Championship, Gold Medalist at the 2018 and 2020 European Handball Championships, Bronze Medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Third Place at the 2021 World Championship, Silver Medalist at the 2022 European Handball Championship, Third Place at the 2023 World Championship. Currently, he plays for C.BM. Nava in the ASOBAL league.

Lara Gonzalez Staff Handball Academy

Lara González

A key figure in the Spanish National Team, Lara's career highlights include: Silver Medalist at the 2014 European Championship in Hungary, Silver Medalist at the 2019 World Championship in Japan. She has played for top national and international clubs, including: C.BM. Elche (Spain), Metz Handball (France), Siófok KC (Hungary), Team Esbjerg (Denmark), ESBF Besançon (France), Paris 92 (France). Currently, she plays for Rapid București in Romania.

A highly experienced coach, José Ignacio has led multiple teams to success: Former coach of C.BM. Petrer and C.BM. Femenino Elda in both the National First Division and Honor Division, achieving Runner-Up in the League and Cup. Promoted C.BM. Monóvar from the National First Division to the Honor Division. Coached C.BM. Torrellano and C.BM. Elche Mustang in the Honor Division. League Champion with Atlético Guardés. Head Coach of the Spanish Women’s Senior National Team (2021-2022). Currently, Assistant Coach of the Spanish Women’s Senior National Team (2023-2024).

Joaquín Rocamora

Joaquín has an impressive record as both a coach and coordinator: Former coordinator of the municipal handball school in Cabanes (Castellón). Coach of C.BM. Orihuela, C.BM. Torrellano, C.BM. Elche, and UCAM Murcia. Currently, Head Coach of Atticgo BM Elche in the Women’s Honor Division. Achievements with BM Elche: Queen’s Cup Champion and Spanish Supercup Champion (2021-2022). Runner-Up in the Iberdrola League (2022-2023), qualifying for the EHF European competition. Also serves as Head Coach of the Spanish Junior National Team, leading them to victory as EHF Championship Winners in 2023.

Isaías has enjoyed a successful career as a player for elite clubs: - BM Ciudad Real: Spanish Supercup Champion (2010), Copa ASOBAL Winner (2010/11), Copa del Rey Winner (2010/11) - BM Atlético de Madrid: Spanish Supercup Champion (2011), Copa del Rey Winner (2011/12), - EHF Champions League Runner-Up (2011/12) - Rhein-Neckar Löwen: EHF European Cup Winner (2012/13), Played for prominent teams such as Aalborg Boldspilklub (Denmark), Pays d'Aix (France), HC Erlangen, and TBV Lemgo (Germany). Currently plays for BM Nava in Spain’s ASOBAL League.

Jérôme is a highly qualified handball coach with extensive credentials and experience: BEE Handball Level 1 – DRJSCS (2007), DEJEPS Sport Development in Handball – MJS (2008), Professional Degree in Social Development and Mediation through Sport – UFR STAPS Orléans (2009), Professional Coach Certification – FFHB (2023), Regional Federal Technical Advisor (CTF) for the Indre and Loire Committee (2010–2023). Currently, Head Coach of Chambray Touraine Handball.

José Carlos Hernández Pola

José Carlos Hernández Pola

A former Cuban National Team member, José Carlos has had a remarkable career: Assistant Coach at the World Championship in Denmark. - Participated in: 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, Central American Championship in Colombia (2000) , Central American Games in Mexico (2002) , International Tournaments in Brazil and Argentina (2003). As a professional player, he competed for several French clubs, including Ivry, Villeneuve d’Ascq, Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, Cesson-Sévigné and Bordeaux. Currently a National Handball Coach certified by RFEBM, Development Agent, and Director of the Development Campus at Nazelles Négron and Avoine Club in the Central Region of France.

Rey Enrique Gutierrez

Rey Enrique is a former goalkeeper with a distinguished career: - Played for the Cuban National Team and professional clubs such as K.H. Iceland, Dinamo Minsk (Belarus), and S.C.T (France). - In Spain's ASOBAL League, he played for C.BM. Huesca, C.BM. Benidorm, and Atlético Valladolid. - Currently serves as the Sports Director of Handball Club Châtellerault in France.

Africa Sempere Staff Handball Academy

África Sempere

África began her career with C.BM. Torrellano and later played for Elche Mustang (División de Honor). She gained international experience in Norway's Grundigligaen Kvinner, Håndballsesongen, and Fredrikstad Club. She won the league title with Atlético Guardés (División de Honor) and earned several championships with the Valencian Community team, including the Spanish University Championships. As part of the Spanish national teams: - Youth National Team: 5th place in the European Championship (Serbia) and 5th in the World Championship (Dominican Republic). - Junior National Team: Participated in the European Championship (Netherlands) (8th) and the World Championship (Czech Republic) (14th). - Senior National Team: 70 international caps, scoring 148 goals. Currently, she plays for Mecalia Atlético Guardés, delivering an excellent season after returning to C.BM. Elche Visit Elx.

Jerónimo Cartagena

Jerónimo is a National Level Coach, beginning his journey with youth teams at C.BM. Torrellano and C.BM. Elche. As a player: - Represented C.BM. Elda CEE during the 2017–19 seasons, competing in two promotion playoffs to División de Honor Plata. - Played for H.C. Châtellerault (France) from 2019–2022, where he also coached youth teams (-18 male and female, -15 male). - Returned to C.BM. Elda CEE (1ª Nacional) in 2022-2023, also serving as Youth Sports Director. - Currently plays for C.BM. Eón Alicante in the RFEBM’s División de Plata.

Ivet Musons Gimeno

Ivet has had an illustrious career as a player and now coach: - Played for C.E. Castelldefels (2011–2013) (DHF) and C.BM. Elche (2013–2023). - Achievements: - Copa de S.M. La Reina (2021) Champion. - Spanish Supercup (2021) Champion. - Gold Medal at the Mediterranean Games (2018). - Represented the Spanish Women’s National Team (2017–2023), participating in the 2017 World Championship (Germany). - In beach handball, she won Gold and became World Champion (2016) at the Hungary World Championships. Currently, Ivet is the head coach of Atticgo BM. Elche in RFEBM’s División de Plata Femenina.

- Played for Club Balonmano la Roca (2009-2016) - Played for KH7 Balonmano Granollers (2016-2018) in DHF and C.BM. Elche (2018–2024). - Achievements: - Copa de la Reina (2021) Champion. - Supercopa de España (2021) Champion. - Best Goalkeeper of DHF in the 2022-2023 season. - Made her debut with the Spanish National Team (Guerreras) in 2023. - Currently, she is a goalkeeper for Atticgo BM Elche and serves as a goalkeepers coach at C.BM. Elche as well as with HANDPORTERS.

- Began her career at Club Balonmano Mare Nostrum Torrevieja, where she became Cadet Spanish Champion (2019) and Youth Spanish Champion (2021. - As part of the Valencian Community team, she won the Spanish Championship (2020) in Santander. - Currently plays for Atticgo BM Elche, contributing to the team's success: - Supercopa de España (2021/22) Champion. - Subchampion of Liga Iberdrola (2022/23 and 2023/24). - EHF Cup (2023/24) Champion. - Subchampion of the Supercopa Ibérica.

Nuria Andreu Sempere

Ha pasado por lo clube C. BM. Elche Mustang, Mar Alicante, Oviedo, C. BM. Albobendas, Málaga y Atticgo C. BM. Elche con el que ha sido, Campeona de la Copa de la Reina Campeona Super Copa de España y Subcampeona Liga Iberdrola. Actualmente entrenadora del equipo Atticgo C. BM. Elche de 1ª Nacional Femenina.
